Volunteer with Kawartha Lakes Museum & Archives

Welcome to volunteering with KLMA!

It’s our hope that when you volunteer at the KLMA you are engaged with an active committee and inspired by the amazing, one of a kind objects in our collection.

With our large number of visitors, and extensive collections of over 14,000 objects, 10,000 photos, and 11,000 archives, we need additional help to inspire curiosity, make new discoveries, and share wonder. As a volunteer you will join our already diverse and vibrant volunteer community that brings a variety of different skills and experiences to the KLMA. We would be delighted for you to join our enthusiastic team.

The KLMA recognizes that as a volunteer you give your time, abilities and enthusiasm freely to help us. We appreciate this significant support and aim to provide personal fulfilment and expand social networks through active engagement. As a KLMA volunteer, you will have wonderful time as a valued, indispensable part of our team that strives to create a welcoming environment for our many visitors. In return, we hope to give you an opportunity to explore our vast collections, to learn new things, and to share your skills and interests while making great new friends.

As a museum Volunteer, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of the museum's activities that enrich local history, from educational programs to community events and receptions.

After submitting your application, we will connect with you to review your application and discuss your volunteer role further.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with KLMA!
