About

In 2020, we will be marking the 125th anniversary of the birth of two longtime citizens— Leslie Frost and Stanley Dayton. One was a well-known public figure who enjoyed a long and successful career in provincial politics; the other was the Little Britain correspondent for the Lindsay Daily Post and known by few outside of the former Mariposa Township. Their lives could not be more different. Yet, both of these gentlemen were products of small-town Ontario, an Ontario that is fading from memory through changes in culture and technology. The Laird of Lindsay & The Mayor of Gabtown will offer a retrospective look at old Ontario through the eyes of Leslie Frost and Stanley Dayton.
